The Honey Cloud Sweater is a beginner-friendly pattern and a perfect first project if you’re new to fluffy, chunky knits. Knitted on 10mm needles, available in Norwegian and English. Will be available in German, Danish, Swedish and French in February/March 2026.
Inspired by the soft lightness of clouds and warm honey tones, this mohair sweater is designed to feel fluffy, cozy, and timeless all at once. I hope this project brings you the same joyful feeling as it brought me when I created it ☁️🍯
Needles
• 10 mm circular needle, 80 cm + 60/50/40 cm for sleeves
• 8 mm circular needle, 80 cm + 60/50/40 cm for ribbing and sleeves
• 5 mm needle (double pointed or circular) for i-cord bows

XS / S / M / L / XL
Body circumference:
100 / 105 / 110 / 115 / 120 cm
Sleeve length:
47 cm (all sizes)
Length (from shoulder):
54 / 56 / 58 / 60 / 62 cm
The measurements given are finished garment measurements.
Gauge
10 cm horizontally = 10 stitches (10 mm needles)
10 cm vertically = 14 rows (10 mm needles)
Yarn
The sweater is knitted with two strands held together.
Recommended yarn options:
• Bella by Permin (50 g ≈ 145 m)
• Ballerina Chunky Mohair by Sandnes (50 g ≈ 135 m)
• Melody by Drops (50 g ≈ 140 m)
Yarn Amount
XS: 400 g
S: 400 g
M: 450 g
L: 450 g
XL: 500 g
If working with two colours, use 50% of the total amount per colour.
